About the Speaker

Irene Little,
PsyD, MS, MA, LCDC, ICADC, ADC III, MAC, CCC-SLP

 
Dr. Little is a licensed counselor with specializations in addictions as well as marriage and family therapy. She is also a Speech Language Pathologist with her certificate of clinical competence. Speech Language Pathologists have additional training and expertise in communication and learning differences that are often overlooked as common co-occurring disorders found in individuals with addiction. Her diverse education and training allow her to truly address the whole person when developing treatment plans for families.
 
Dr. Little wrote The Book on Addiction, A Parent’s Guide to Restoring Structure and Serenity to Your Home and Substance Use and Autism Spectrum Disorders, A Comparative Analysis.  She has presented her research and expertise at some of the most respected conferences for professionals in the field of addiction. She has also been a repeat guest lecturer at University of North Texas. She is a lifelong learner with a passion for sharing her knowledge and experiences to help others and has provided training and continuing education for professionals since 2009.  She has presented at National conferences with research focused on adolescence, families and addiction.
