Title: Employer-based Financial Wellness Programs (EFWP)…Leading a Holistic Strategy for Employee Wellness and Engagement.

Financial challenges cause employees the most stress in their lives. In fact, financially stressed employees can spend 20 hours per month, on the job, dealing with personal financial matters. This impacts workplace productivity and bottom line profits for the employer. It can also impact the success of an EA provider, workplace safety risk and liability for employers.

Considering the root cause and potential consequences, are EA providers seeing the big picture?

As a result of supporting workplace studies, the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) has concluded “Employee’s struggling to gain control of their finances may have significant ramifications in the workplace”…. “Thus, money management strategies, including budgeting and investing may increasingly be considered as part of workplace stress management and wellness initiatives.”

At this session, attendees will:

Evaluate and determine holistic or silo offerings by EA providers.

Discuss the lasted research findings with a deeper dive into workplace financial stress.

Learn the key factors and subsequent triggers that can derail mental health and addiction treatment as well as other disorders.

Have a better understanding of the tools and resources available to assess employee financial stress issues.

Learn the key barriers of employee engagement and utilization of an effective wellness program.

Discover the key elements for developing a wellness strategy that best engages the employee culture and demographics with a holistic approach.
