Mary will discuss how providing effective tools and resources to help build self esteem and self worth for clients after a family crisis and life events can improve the success of recovery.

About the Speaker

Mary Pollinzi Brown is a Certified Educator combining extensive experience in education and the non-profit sector to empower women, children and families. She is a collaborator who excels in creating partnerships with community, corporate, and non-profit organizations in order to develop initiatives that improve the lives of individuals and families in our community.

Mary is responsible for managing the development and delivery of the Attitudes & Attire Program. Over 1400 women a year participate in these workshops, and more than 250 organizations refer women to Attitudes & Attire.

Mary developed a customized program for female veterans at Attitudes & Attire, serving women who are transitioning into the civilian workplace and lifestyle. The Boots to Heels program has served over 260 female veterans and has grown from a one day workshop to a three day seminar offered monthly at Attitudes & Attire. She has developed partnerships with the Center for Brain Health at UTD, the Texas Veterans Commission, North Texas Healthcare at VA Dallas, and other organizations in the Dallas area to expand Boots to Heels and better serve female veterans. She helped Extensive collaboration with the Center for Brain Health including participation in SMART (Strategic Memory Advanced Training), conducted at the Brain Performance Institute in Dallas. She has collaborated with government agencies and corporations to create a veterans mentor group assisting with reentry to the workplace and improved lifestyle.
